I don't know how to put it into words but I think she was genuinely happy to be my friend. Those weren't fake tears she was shedding when she got upset at being outed as Sakura.

[Hibiki turned the scrunchie over in her hands as she stared morosely into the ground.] But... if she really, truly wanted to be my friend, and Hummy's once more... and maybe even Kanade's...

Could she really be...

No... that's silly. No... I'm just clinging to hope now really.

There's no way, our enemy could be a Precure.

I think you need to look very carefully at what happened. This isn't an assumption to be made carelessly. If you think she might honestly have a desire to get closer to you, then you need to keep an eye out for anything you can do. If she's just stringing you along, though, you need to realize that and shut her down before she does something you can't repair.

I think so as well. She really felt horrible, and ran off when she was outed but... something tells me it's going to be on Seiren's mind for a while.

I agree. Only the best manipulator can worm their way into a relationship and not feel broken up about it later. Plus, some of us - you seem to be among them - have a way of bringing people around to their views. You probably affected her more than she was expecting, and when she was cast aside, it hurt her. So she ran off before she could be hurt further.

I didn't mean to cast her aside. I really did want her to be my friend I just... she rejected it, after Hummy saw through her disguise.

God I feel like the villain in this one. And I can't even make Negatones.

Well, basically remember that video from Ayumi? One of the girls on my 'four-man team' looked really familiar, and for a moment I thought it was Seiren. But... but she's not really a Precure anyhow, and she spent two days trying to tear Kanade and me apart once more, by pretending to be 'Sakura', a transfer student.

The weird thing is... she really seemed to regret deceiving us.

Yeah, she leads Trio the Minor and usually creates Negatones. She's a cat-fairy from Minor Land but she apparently was Hummy's best friend back home. She can also turn into a human girl.

Why couldn't you have an enemy that's also a Precure? Magical girls, Precure, Puella Magi, whatever you call 'em... They're human so they've got agendas and plans of their own so it'd make sense if there was one or two Precure that don't fit with the others. Right?

Well the thing is, there's only four Precure on my team, even though there's just me and Kanade right now. I heard the Heartcatch Team is facing one, but only on occasion.

I dunno I feel pretty messed up today.

Well it's more like, I THINK Seiren might switch sides to our side but I have no evidence in this happening though. Though our hair changes radically when we transform, so there's a chance that this could be like, I dunno, Waon or Seika.

I'm having a bit of a crisis, Usagi. Turns out that someone who was trying to get close to me was my enemy, using disguise magic. But it really looked like she regretted doing so.

Do they really regret it though..? Did they apologize?

It really looked like she did but... then they just swung into a monster attack and Seiren ran off.

Sorry Setsuna, I was just... well, okay, here's the thing.

We have this enemy in our world, a cat-fairy named Seiren who can take the form of any person she wants to do, and mimic voices etc. She turned into a girl named Sakura and tried to get in good with us, and it worked. I really did like her. But when Hummy ousted her carelessly, she ran off, and, well...

It really looked like she was upset at not being able to be my friend anymore.

I... see. [Setsuna goes quiet for a moment as she takes all of this information in. What this Seiren tried was just a little too close to what she herself was doing, although she hadn't been discovered yet.] That sounds really awful.

But she's a... fairy? And your enemy? I'm sorry, I don't really understand that part at all.

Frankly I dunno. I try to be, but there's so much going on recently. Seiren's stepped up her attempts to separate Kanade and I and it could be bad.

Don't let her get between you. Remember that she's going to do that, and remember that your friendship is stronger than that.

Ah, don't think that! If she wants to be your friend, even if it's an enemy, she'll find a way to do so!

And an enemy becoming a powerful ally like that isn't unheard of! Plenty of Rangers have been foes before becoming allies!

Yup! If she was that hurt at being outted, then it's very certain that she enjoyed being with you. She just needs a reason to finally break those bonds holding her back!
